810 Washington St. (btwn Gansevoort and Horatio)
New York, New York 10014
Jay Godfrey is very excited to open the first free standing boutique at 810 Washington Street in New York’s famed Meatpacking District in the spring of 2012. The boutique will house the entire Jay Godfrey ready to wear collection of dresses, tops, jackets, skirt and pants as well as our newly launched jewelry and scarf collections. Furthermore, we will be stocking a curated group of chic Assouline coffee table books.
The 1115 square foot location within the Meatpacking District is immediately adjacent to the new Christian Louboutin and Intermix stores, across the street from the future home of the Whitney Museum, and steps from many other fashion brands such as Vince, Scoop, Jeffreys, Moschino, Tory Burch, and Diane Von Furstenberg.
The interiors, designed by MR Architecture + Décor, pay homage to the Highline and offer a sharp juxtaposition between raw elements like exposed brickwork, cinder block walls, and cement floors with very polished black chrome fixtures and black mirrors. This sensual and minimalist environment is also inspired by Jay’s idols – namely architect Frank Gehry and astract impressionist painter Ellsworth Kelly.
